Civil engineering apprenticeship success for Andrew

We’re delighted to celebrate Andrew’s success in completing his civil engineering apprenticeship at Cambridge Regional College. He has also achieved a Distinction in the ICE Engineering Technician assessment.

This is a fantastic milestone and reflects the hard work and commitment Andrew has shown throughout his training.

Apprenticeship achievement

Andrew completed his civil engineering apprenticeship over three years while working alongside the team. During this time, he developed strong technical knowledge and practical experience across a range of projects.

As a result, he successfully passed his End Point Assessment with Distinction. He also achieved EngTech MICE status through the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Andrew’s reflections

After completing his apprenticeship, Andrew said:

“After 3 years of college and an End Point Assessment, I’m quite relieved to have passed my part-time Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with distinction.

Thank you to Cambridge Regional College, and to two particularly characterful and talented teachers, Howard Shipp and Glenn Morris. At work, the combination of Jeff Griggs, Paul Austin and Simon Nesbit’s optimism and wit kept me highly motivated. I would also like to thank my dear wife, Christina, for her patience during my last year of busy evenings. I now see how valuable this diploma, and further learning through ICE accreditation, is to AFP and the broader building industry. I’m eager to put what I’ve learnt to the test.”
