The Partnership was formed in 1979 by Andrew Firebrace to provide structural engineering services and has seen steady growth since then.  There are now seven partners who are supported by twenty five technical and administration staff members. The head office is in Cambridge with further offices in Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough and Glasgow.

In recent years, the Partnership has established a specialist company to undertake planning supervision, party wall surveying and contract management services. AFP Construction Consultants have the full support of the partnership design and production facilities.

The group has extensive experience in all types of building work and can offer the full range of structural and civil engineering consultancy services. Our aim is to provide practical and economic engineering solutions and the range of projects undertaken is considerable both in size and type of work.

All projects, whether they are undertaken by the partnership or the operational companies are partner or director led with experienced technical and administration support to assist in the preparation of production information.  Computer aided design and networked communication facilities are employed to ensure timely transfer of information to and from all members of the project team.

Our strategically located offices have traditionally enabled us to provide full coverage of the East Anglia, London and the East Midlands regions. In recent years the improved transportation and communications links in the region have enabled us to extend the zones in which we can effectively and efficiently work.  We have recently completed projects in Sussex, Surrey and Scotland. We frequently work in London or with London based consultants and companies and can easily travel to meet them by rail or road.  We also have extremely good access to Stansted airport which has a full range of national and international flight destinations.

Our highly experienced staff can boast experiences in a wide range of public, commercial, retail, industrial, educational and housing work both at home and overseas.

Our client portfolio includes many national and local developers, retailers and manufacturers. We have also developed extensive links locally with the university, colleges and schools.
