• Partner/Director managed design teams

In addition to managing the design team each Partner or Director is a practising engineer and maintains a ‘hands on’ approach throughout the commision. Being so actively involved in the design and site activities means that the Partner/Director is able to make the most efficient use of his team and directs either the full structutal design himself, or for larger projects, each of the allocated specific responsibilties to his team members.

• Compliance with the Brief

All commissions require a clear brief to ensure that the various aspects of a project are adequately defined and resourced, to avoid untimely or expensive variations to the contract. We adopt a pro-active approach and encourage on going dialogue with the client to update the brief as the design or procurement requirements develop to maximise all possible commercial advantages for the project.

At the scheme stages, we will fully consider the design options available, taking into account the existing site conditions, any existing buildings, speed and methods of procurement, clients commercial requirements and planning restrictions. In consultation with other members of the design team, we value engineer options to produce the best solution before progressing to the next stage. Continual monitoring of the development design against the criteria on which it was based ensures that any proposed variations are fully assessed and all implications or commercial considerations are highlighted to the client and the other members of the design team. 

• Project Reviews

We regularly review our work on projects to monitor our progress, technical matters, and compliance with the brief to ensure that our work is conducted in a timely manner and that the clients requirements are fulfilled and remain the focus of our activity.

• Development Staff

Ongoing training is vital in providing a progressive and informed professional service. We are proud of the range of experience and skills that we are able to offer and underpin this with both individual and group training.

• Client Satisfaction

As well as continually attracting new clients many of our commissions are appointments from exisiting clients. We are very keen to further develop exisiting relationships and provide the highest level of service on subsequent appointments.
